Several places on the east coast have in their history coal mining but to the best of my knowledge only Fingal still has active mining activities with several mines in the area.

This old cottage has seen better day and now stands as a ruin in a field outside of Fingal

This colourful old building is in Fingal. From memory i think that it is actually part of the supermarket next door but don’t quote me on that!

This sign took my interest as it is a throwback back in time when all calls needed to be connected by operators, in this case to the Fingal Switchboard and then to number 54.
