Everywhere i go, it seems i see Penguins whether on the side of a building or by the sea in Bicheno. It is their mating season at present so they are coming in at night to the Rookeries to lay the eggs and raise their young. The photo is so dark because you can’t use flash photography or even normal torch light as these penguins have no eyelids which means they can’t blink away the after image and may end up permanently blinded. And of course a blind penguin is a soon to be dead penguin.
